Finding the Right Home Plan for You

How do I choose the right home plan?

Choosing the perfect home design is easier than you think! Begin by exploring various styles, sizes, and features that best suit your needs. You can use our filtering options to narrow down your choices, or contact us for expert advice. If necessary, we can tailor the plan to align with your unique vision.

Can I check if a plan has been built in my area?

We respect privacy and do not track the locations where our plans are used. Sometimes, builders or homeowners share photos of completed projects, which we may feature on our website. Custom plans may not include images until a deposit is made, but please feel free to contact us for further information.

What are the architectural and structural requirements?

Certain areas may require approval from a licensed architect or engineer to review the design before construction. Local conditions, like weather patterns or seismic requirements, may also influence the design. We recommend consulting with your contractor or local building department for compliance.

What is a walkout basement?

A walkout basement features an exterior door that leads directly outside, making it ideal for homes built on sloped lots. It provides easy access to the yard or garden. A local engineer might need to evaluate the foundation for stability.

How is square footage determined?

We calculate square footage based on livable spaces, including rooms like bedrooms, kitchens, and living areas. Garages, porches, and unfinished basements are not counted unless otherwise stated.

Will the design meet local building codes?

Our designs are crafted to meet standard building codes, but local regulations may vary. You may need modifications to comply with local plumbing, electrical, or structural codes. Always consult with local professionals to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Do you offer a price guarantee?

Yes! If you find the same plan at a lower price elsewhere, we’ll beat it by 5%. This guarantee applies only to house plans and doesn’t cover special services or offers.

What adjustments might be needed for regional standards?

Plans may require modifications for factors such as snow loads, wind resistance, or specific foundation types, as dictated by local regulations. We’re here to help tailor your plans to your area’s requirements. Contact us for more information.
